Climate Change and Energy Studies (CCES)

The Climate Change and Energy Studies at CED  focuses on the improvement of understanding of climate change impacts especially  in  poor countries. It tries to identify the strategies and technologies through which the4-CCE Green House Gas emissions can be minimized and controlled. It also explores the sustainable livelihood opportunities of poor communities in the light of climate change impacts and also works on the strategies to be adopted in the energy and environment sector to reduce GHG emission . The core objective is to continue generating better understanding of the impacts of the climate change and set-up pilot adaptation projects especially at the local government level.CED is also involved in studies on  Carbon Sequestration Potential of  various ecosystems and also prepares the strategy for enhancing the sequestration of carbon.
