Centre for Environment and Development (CED) in association with Energy Management Centre (EMC) Kerala and supported by Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), Kerala State Remote Sensing & Environment Centre (KSREC), Agency for Non-conventional Energy and Rural Technologies (ANERT) and Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB) is organizing the 13thKerala Environment Congress (KEC 2017) at EMC Seminar Hall, Sreekaryam, Thiruvananthapuram from 6th and 8th December 2017.
The Congress is also supported many other professional organizations such as Indian Society for Remote Sensing (ISRS), Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE) etc.

The major subthemes identified under the main theme are: Water & Waste Water Management, Solid Waste Management, Energy Management, Agriculture and Food Security, Health care facilities, Food and Nutrition, Transport, Habitat, Marine and Ocean Technology, Disaster Management, Space Technology for Development, Geospatial Technology, Education and Information and Communication Technology
Padmasree M R Kurup Memorial Keynote Address
The Keynote address of the congress is dedicated to our founder Chairman Padmasree (late) M R Kurup and will be delivered by Dr. R Uma Maheswaran, Director, GSLV, VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram.
Young Scientist Award
CED has instituted the Young Scientist Award for research students below the age of 30, in the name of our friend and colleague (Late) Dr R. Satheesh. The awards will be given for the best Oral and best Poster presentations in the Congress by young researchers..
Hotel accommodation is available on payment basis. The Organizing Committee will provide the details of the tariff of various hotels, on request. Delegates requiring accommodation may request the General Convener to provide necessary support.
Any organization/individual paying Rs 50,000/- will be accepted as a co-sponsor of the event and their names will be published in the Proceedings of the Congress. They can also send three delegates without any registration fee

General Delegates: Rs 1000/-
Students and research scholars: Rs 300/- (required to enclose bona-fide certificate for availing the concession rate).
Additional fee for spot registration: Rs 100/- (Registration fee includes seminar kit, Proceedings Volume of the Congress and working lunch and tea during the seminar days).
