URJA KIRAN 2017-18


The theme for the Campaign is “Energy efficiency and Conservation”


Energy Management Centre Kerala (EMC) selected  156 agencies from all over Kerala to conduct the URJA KIRAN 2017-18 programs in 420 local bodies in Kerala coming under all the 140 Assembly Constituencies. These agencies will conduct Energy Management Awareness Campaign under the theme Energy efficiency and Conservation”.    This year ANERT “Akshya Urja” programs will also be conducted along with URJA KIRAN to popularise the Akshaya Urja projects of ANERT. 113 agencies are also selected for conducting this program in 140 assembly constituencies. The Energy Conservation Rally will be conducted by 113 agencies in 140 constituencies in connection with National Energy Conservation Day on December 14, 2017.


In order to explain the modalities for conducting the program and equip the agencies to conduct the program in more successful way and to prepare good reports, CED has arranged post-sanction workshops in 3 zones as shown below:

  1. South Zone: Thiruvananthapuram – ANERT Conference Hall, Vikas Bhavan – Friday 17th November 2017 (9.30 am to 1.30 pm)
  2. North Zone: Kozhikode – New Nalanda Hotel, Town Hall Road – Thursday 23rd November 2017 – (9.30 am to 1.00 pm)
  3. Central Zone: Kottayam – IMA Hall, Good Shepherd Road, Near DC Books – Friday 24th November 2017 (9.30 am to 1.00 pm)

Two representatives from the  selected agencies shall participate the workshop at any one location. They also have to execute a bond in stamp paper (Non Government Organizations) / submit an affidavit in institution letter head (Government Institutions).
